Ol' Man Of The Sea

Ol’ wheel in hand
Salty leathered man in command
Helm listfully sways
Dawn breaks
A new day

Jus’ wanna go down
That ol’ river am bound
Jus’ wanna do everything
And nothing at all
Jus’ wanna be
The ol’ man o’ the sea

Ne’r seen such a sight
Gonna put up a fight
That ol’ giant of the sea
Tuggin’ one on one with me

Don’t gaff thet one boy
Let him go free
'Cause that’s what I want to be
The ol’ man o’ the sea

Jus’ wanna do everything
And nothing at all
Jus’ wanna go down
That ol’ river am bound

Hear them winds howlin’
Here then winds call
Out there everyday
Winter springs into Fall

I belong out on the blue
Nothin’ else that I wanna do
Storms blowin’ in my face
Tides through the cuts they do race

Them rich folks got everything
Come runnin’ to me
Payin’ me handsomely
To set out to sea

That Cap’n at the wheel
Standin’ proud above all
Jus’ wanna be free
The ol’ man o’ the sea

Sun scorched and parched
Headin’ towards land
Men aboard anxiously
Awaitin’ command

Cast up the anchor
Toss me a beer
There’s no place on land
I’d rather be here

This rugged ship sways
Yet but steady as a rock
Time to head home
And tie ‘er up at the dock

Ol’ wheel in hand
Salty leathered man in command
Helm listfully sways
Dusk sets
End of the day

Jus’ wanna be free
The ol’ man o’ the sea
Jus’ wanna do everything
And nothin’ at all
Jus’ wanna go down
The ol’ river am bound
Jus’ wanna be free
The ol’ man o’ the sea
